Favoured locations :
Place one SMOCKEO detector on each floor
Place one SMOCKEO next to each sleeping area (for example, in the corridor leading to the
rooms ; in case of a long corridor > 10m, place 1 detector at each end).
Place one SMOCKEO detector in each bedroom occupied by a smoker.
Ideally, place one SMOCKEO detector in each room, while avoiding inappropriate zones.

The detector must preferably be attached to the ceiling. If that is not possible, place the
SMOCKEO detector:
At least 12 in / 30cm away from any obstacle (wall, partition; beam etc...).
At least 23,6 in / 60cm away from any angle in the walls.
Where for practical reasons it is impossible to attach the detector to the ceiling, attach the
detector to the wall, place the SMOCKEO detector:
At a distance of between 6 and 9,8 inches (15 and 25 cm) from the ceiling.
At least 23,6 in / 60 cm away from any angle in the walls.
Warning first check the proper reception of the SIGFOX network in the position where you wish to
attach your SMOCKEO detector, by performing an activation test.
Remove the mounting bracket from the detector by turning it counter-clockwise.
Place the mounting bracket in the expected position and using a pencil, mark the position of the
2 fixing holes.
Use the provided mounting screws and pegs. Secure the mounting bracket.
Remove the transparent plastic strip and plug in the battery.
Attach the detector to the bracket by turning it clockwise until it is locked in position.
SMOCKEO is supplied with a disconnected battery, pull the plastic strip to make contact and start
the device. SMOCKEO has a safety device which prevents its locking without a battery.
