MAKE THE DETECTORS COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER

This feature lets the detectors communicate with each other and all go off together when smoke
is detected in a room.
The SMOCKEO detectors form a network. Just one detector that is covered is able to transmit
information from the other detectors whether or not they communicate on the long range network.
In cases where you wish to install your detector in a room that has a low SIGFOX signal (ex:
basement), you will only need to pair them with one another.
Pair my detectors :
1. Remove the detectors to be paired from their mounting brackets. Move to the location where the
SIGFOX signal is strongest (ex: next to a window). Wait two minutes before starting the procedure.
2. Perform three short successive presses on the TEST button, spaced out by two seconds each.
3. The green LED stops blinking and the alarm sounds.
4. During the next few seconds, the LED goes out and blinks for a short time. Once the green LED
becomes steady again, the procedure is complete and the next SMOCKEO can be paired.
Repeat the same procedure for each SMOCKEO to pair.
NB: If the green LED is not steady at the end of the procedure, it means that the pairing has not
worked properly and that the procedure must be reattempted.
5. Once all of your detectors are paired, complete the overall procedure with a short press on the
TEST button of the last paired detector. Your SMOCKEO will all go off. Wait a couple of minutes, until
the green LED stop blinking. You can place the SMOCKEO back on their mounts.
Your SMOCKEO will now act as repeaters of the information to guarantee an optimal transmission
of the data through the network.
INAPPROPRIATE LOCATIONS
Do not install the detector
Less than 39,3 in / 1m away from a heater, cooling or ventilation duct. The smoke could be
moved away or get diluted.
In a place where the temperature might go below 32 °F or above 122 °F (risk of detector
malfunction).
In a location with a risk of condensation. Bathrooms and laundry rooms are to be prohibited.
Where smokes can be released (kitchen or poorly ventilated garage) and generate
undesirable alarms.
In an overly dusty location.
