To obtain a clear sound
1. Before starting to play, warm the instrument by blowing into it long enough to make it
lukewarm. In this way you will avoid the formation of humidity on the inside.
2. The recorder is not capable of sound intensity variations. Therefore always make sure
to blow into it lightly.
3. To obtain a clear sound you must position your finger correctly to cover the holes,
using the fleshy parts of your fingers and not the joints or tips. Each finger has a hole
to cover except for the little finger which is never used.
4. To emit a sound place your tongue at the base of the upper row of teeth and blow,
softly pronouncing the syllables "Tu" or "Du".
5. Accuracy of the high pitched sounds depends on the hole covered by the thumb of
the left hand. For the clearest sounds uncover the hole 1/3 or a 1/4 of the way and
blow a little harder.
Note - Check the alignment between the sections of the flute making the notches on the
back are coincident (see figure).
How to care for your instrument
1. After use it is advisable to clean the inside of the instrument with a cloth placed at the
top of the cleaning rod that comes with the instrument. Blow hard into the mouthpiece
to unclog the groove of the lip slit. This operation will enable you to expel any
obstructions.
2. The lip slit and the air passage are the most important parts of the instrument as far
as sound production is concerned. Since these parts are very delicate - they should
be protected against any damage.
3. Make sure that the mouthpiece is always kept clean.
4. Don't let any saliva penetrate the instrument. This could give a sharp raucous sound.
5. By following these few, simple rules your recorder will always have a perfect sound
and will last longer.
Covered hole
Open hole
Open hole for 1/4 or 1/3 of the way. It shows the correct positioning of the left hand
thumb slightly moved downwards.
N.B.
- If two finger positions are shown, the left one (1) is the most commonly used, (2) the
other is merely an alternative.
- The notes played with respect to the scale shown above the stave are in fact higher
than an octave.

Pour obtenir une bonne qualité du son
1. Avant de commencer à jouer, réchauffer votre instrument en soufflant légèrement pour
que l'haleine le rende plus tiède. Vous éviterez ainsi la formation d'humidité à l'intérieur
de l'instrument.
2. Avec la flûte douce il est impossible d'obtenir des variations d'intensité du son; vous
devrez donc jouer en soufflant légèrement.
3. Pour obtenir une juste tonalité il faut placer un bon doigté à l'aide du bout des doigts,
et non des pointes, pour fermer parfaitement les trous. Chaque doigt a un trou qu'il
doit fermer tandis que l'auriculaire de la main gauche ne sera jamais utilisé.
4. Pour émettre un son, vous devez placer la langue à la base des dents supérieures et
souffler en prononçant doucement "tou" ou "dou".
5. La précision des sons aigus dépend du trou dans lequel se place le pouce de la main
gauche. Pour obtenir les meilleurs sons ouvrir le trou de 1/4 ou 1/3 et souffler un peu
plus fort.
Note - Vérifier l'alignement entre les deux parties de la flûte en vous assurant de la cor-
respondance des encoches (voir figure).
Entretien de l'instrument
1. Après avoir joué on recommande de nettoyer l'intérieur de l'instrument en utilisant un
linge placé au sommet de l'écouvillon en dotation de l'instrument. On conseille égal-
ement de souffler fortement dans l'embouchure en bouchant la rainure de la fente des
lèvres. Cette opération permet d'évacuer d'éventuels corps étrangers.
2. La fente des lèvres et le canal pour le passage de l'air sont les parties les plus impor-
tantes pour la production du son; vu qu'il s'agit de parties extrêmement délicates, il
faudra les protéger.
3. Nettoyer constamment l'embouchure.
4. Eviter que la salive pénètre à l'intérieur de l'instrument. Elle pourrait rendre le son rau-
que et âpre.
5. Si vous observez ces quelques règles, votre instrument aura toujours un son parfait et
de longue durée.
Trou fermé
Trou ouvert
Trou ouvert à 1/4 ou à 1/3. Il représente la position prise par le pouce de la main
gauche deplacé légèrement vers le bas.
Attention
- Si deux positions des doigts sont indiquées, celle de gauche (1) est la plus courante;
l'autre (2) est en alternative.
- Les notes que vous jouez par rapport à la gamme de la portée sont en réalité, plus
hautes d'une octave.

Wie erreicht man eine gute Klangqualität
1. Erwärme das Instrument vor dem Spielen durch Hineinblasen so lange bis es etwas
warm ist. Auf diese Weise vermeidest Du das Entstehen einer zu starken Feuchtigkeit
im Inneren des Instrumentes.
2. Bei der stimmhaften Flöte kann man die Klangstärke nicht variieren. Man sollte daher
stets leicht hineinblasen.
3. Für das richtige Spielen muß man einen genauen Fingersatz einhalten und die
Öffnungen mit den Fingerbeeren und nicht mit den Gelenken oder Fingerspitzen vol-
lständig verschliessen. Jeder Finger dient zum Verschließen einer bestimmten
Öffnung, während der kleine Finger der linken Hand nie benutzt wird.
4. Lege die Zunge zum Spielen eines Tones am Ansatz der Oberzähne an und blase,
indem Du dabei stimmhaft die Silbe "tu" oder "du" sprichst.
5. Die Genauigkeit, mit der die scharfen Töne gespielt werden, hängt von der Öffnung ab, auf
die der Daumen der linken Hand gelegt wird; zur Erreichung der bestmöglichen Klangqualität
muß man die Öffnung zu 1/4 oder 1/3 offen lassen und etwas stärker ins Instrument blasen.
Hinweis - Die Sektionen der Flöte so ausrichten, daß die Einkerbungen auf der Rückseite
übereinstimmen (siehe Abbildung).
Instandhaltung des Instruments
1. Es wird empfohlen, das Innere des Instruments nach dem Spielen mit einem Lappen
zu reinigen, der auf die Spitze des mitgelieferten Flötenputzers gelegt wird. Desweiteren
ist es angebracht, stark in das Mundstück hineinzublasen und den Lippenschlitz frei
zu machen. Damit können eventuelle Verunreinigungen beseitigt werden.
2. Der Lippenschlitz und der Luftkanal sind die wichtigsten Teile des Instrumentes für die
Erzeugung des Tones; da es sich um sehr empfindliche Teile handelt, muß man sie vor
jeglicher Beschädigung schützen.
3. Das Mundstück stets sauber halten.
4. Das Eindringen von Speichel in das Innere des Instruments vermeiden. Es könnte
sonst zur Erzeugung heiserer und quietschender Töne kommen.
5. Bei Einhaltung dieser wenigen Vorschriften wird Deine Flöte einen ausgezeichneten
Klang und ein "langes Leben" haben.
Verschlossene Öffnung
Offene Öffnung
1/4 oder 1/3 offene Öffnung. Es stellt die Position des Daumens der linken Hand dar,
der leicht nach unten verschoben sein muß.
Achtung
- Wenn zwei Fingersätze angegeben sind, so ist der linke (1) der üblichere und der
andere (2) der Alternativ-Fingersatz.
- Die Noten, die Du spielt, sind in Vergleich zur Tonleiter auf der Notenzeile um eine
Oktave höher.

similar chemical substances for cleaning. Use a soft
cloth dampened in a bland solution of water and
neutral detergent. • F - ATTENTION: Ne pas utiliser

similaires pour le nettoyage. Nettoyer l'instrument
au moyen d'un chiffon souple humidifié avec une
solution délicate à base d'eau et de détergent
neutre. • D - ACHTUNG: Verwenden Sie für die
Reinigung keinen Alkohol, keine Lösungsmittel
oder andere ähnliche chemische Substanzen.
Reinigen Sie das Instrument mit einem weichen,
angefeuchtetem Tuch und verwenden Sie hierbei
eine Lösung aus Wasser und neutralem
Reinigungsmittel. • E - ATENCIÓN: Para la limpieza,
no usar alcohol, disolventes o productos químicos
similares. Limpiar el instrumento con un paño
suave humedecido con una solución no agresiva
de agua y detergente neutro. • P - ATENÇÃO: Não
utilizar álcool, solventes ou substâncias químicas
semelhantes para a limpeza. Limpar o instrumento
com um pano macio humedecido com água e
pouco detergente neutro. • I - ATTENZIONE: Per la
pulizia non usare alcool, solventi o sostanze
chimiche simili. Pulire lo strumento con un panno
morbido inumidito con una blanda soluzione di
acqua e detergente neutro.
