1. Intended use
This product records videos and also features a handy snapshot function. The camera's protective housing is
resistant against dirt, snow or rain and also waterproof down to max. 20 metres (IP68). The mounts included in
delivery allow the camera to be mounted on helmets or handlebars. A separately available memory card (microSD,
max. 32 GB) is required for operation. Recordings are saved to a microSD card and can subsequently be played
back on a PC. Power is supplied by an integrated LiPo battery that can be charged via a USB connection.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product for
purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can cause
hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this
product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

3. Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information. If you
do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we
assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will
invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Personen / Produkt
• Never dismantle the product. There are no serviceable or adjustable parts inside the product.
• Observe the statutory regulations relating to the use of the product. Do not use the product for the surveillance
of people, buildings and vehicles!
• The device can be distracting to your concentration!
• Do not wear the carrying strap around your neck, if this could injure you during your activities. Danger of
strangulation!
• The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material for
children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity, moisture, flammable
gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental
use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the product.
Rechargeable batteries
• The rechargeable battery is permanently built into the product and cannot be replaced.
• Never damage the rechargeable battery. Damaging the casing of the rechargeable battery might cause an
explosion or a fire! Unlike conventional batteries/rechargeable batteries (e.g. AA or AAA type), the casing of the
LiPo rechargeable battery does not consist of a thin sheet but rather a sensitive plastic film only.
• Never short-circuit the contacts of the rechargeable battery. Do not throw the battery or the product into fire.
There is a danger of fire and explosion!
• Charge the rechargeable battery regularly, even if you do are not using the product. Due to the rechargeable
battery technology being used, you do not need to discharge the rechargeable battery first.
• Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
• When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive. It is normal that a certain amount of
heat is generated during charging.
Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our technical support
service or other technical personnel.
4. Accessories
The product is delivered with accessories that extend the application range of the product. The accessories cover
the following scope of application:
• Clip: Keeps the camera in place when the camera is used in combination with other accessories.
• Carrying strap: For carrying the camera around the neck or around the hand.
• Headband: For holding the camera on a helmet or on the head.
• Handlebar bracket: For attaching the camera to a bicycle handlebar.
• Protective housing: For use under water or with possible contamination. Maximum water depth: 20 metres.

6. First steps / Basic functions
Inserting/removing the SD card
The camera cannot be operated without a microSD card inserted.
Insert a microSD card with sufficient storage space into the microSD card slot (7). Ensure the card's interfaces
point towards the lens (4) and that the card engages. To remove the card push the card inwards as far as it will go
to unlock it. Remove the card.
Charging the battery
1. Charge the battery completely before using the camera for the first time.
2. Connect the USB cable's Mini-USB plug to the Mini-USB port (9). Connect the USB-B plug to a free USB port
on your computer.
3. The battery will automatically charge and the battery indicator (10) will flash slowly.
4. When the battery is fully charged, the battery indicator will light up continuously.
5. Unplug the USB cable from the camera.
Switching on/off
1. Remove the protective film from the camera lens.
2. Press the on/off button (13) to turn the camera on.
3. After approx. 3 seconds the LED status indicator (5) lights up and thus shows its readiness.
4. Use the camera (see section "Operating the camera").
5. Press the on/off button to switch the product off. The battery indicator (10) flashes for a short while quickly and
the LED status indicator goes out.
7. Setting a time stamp
With the time stamp you set the date and time for recordings. For setting the time stamp you will require a text editor
available on any standard computer system. The time stamp only has to be set at the first use.
1. Connect the USB cable with the Mini-USB port (9) and a USB port on your computer.
2. The computer recognises the camera as an external drive. If drivers need to be installed for this, follow the
instructions of your computer.
3. Open the text editor of your computer (such as Notepad with Windows® or TextEdit with Macintosh).
4. Open a new file and save it on the microSD card of the connected camera applying the following specifications:
- File name: "TIMESET.txt"
- File format: ".txt" (text format, without formatting)
- Has to be located in the root directory, speak outside the "DCIM" folder.
5. In the open file, input the date and time. Observe the following format:
- YYYY MM DD HH MM SS (year, month, day, hours, minutes, seconds),
- e.g. 2012 12 10 14 10 15 (10 December 2012, 2:10:15 p.m.)
6. Save and close the file.
7. When turning the camera on next time, the time stamp will be imported and the saved file automatically removed.
8. Date and time are indicated in recorded photos and videos as follows:
- Photos: e.g. 2012/12/10 15:30
- Video: e.g. 2012/12/11 14:35:10
8. Operating the camera
Snapshot function
1. Press the snapshot button (11) to record a picture. The LED status indicator flashes once.
2. The photo will be automatically saved to the microSD card and can be read from the microSD card at a later
point in time.

When the camera is inactive for 15 seconds in standby mode, it will turn off automatically to preserve
energy.
A fully charged battery lets you record videos for approx. 2 hours.
While recording videos you cannot switch the camera off. First stop the recording.
Recording videos and photos requires sufficient storage space. Note the storage space requirements
for videos and photos:
• Video: 1.65 GB for 30 minutes (D1), 3.4 GB for 30 minutes (HD)
• Photo: approx. 400 KB per photo
Photos have the file extension ".jpg".
When the microSD card is full, the LED status indicator flashes quickly.
