Settings General Tab

After you click "Settings," you will see either two tabs (DroboPro) or
three tabs (DroboElite) you can use to configure your Drobo device to
suit your individual needs.
Dual disk redundancy
Dual disk redundancy is a setting that will protect your stored data
against two simultaneous drive failures. When this additional safeguard
is enabled, the amount of usable space is reduced in order to provide
this protection. To use dual disk protection, you are required to have at
least three hard disks in your DroboPro/DroboElite and sufficient free
disk space.
By default, this setting is disabled. To enable it, go to the Advanced
Controls -> Tools -> Settings. Dual disk protection can be enabled or
disabled at anytime as long as you meet the minimum requirements
mentioned above. Note that changing this setting will require time to
relayout your data if you already have data stored on the drives. The
amount of time required depends upon the amount of data stored.
Disk drive spin down
The default setting for this feature is 15 minutes on DroboPro and
"Never" on DroboElite. Spinning down the drives helps save electricity
and can prolong the life of the drives. Note that when the drives have
