► Never use the appliance in the
vicinity of or underneath flammable
materials such as curtains.

► Do not touch the hot surfaces during
operation.
► Use the handle or the button to hold
the appliance while it is in operation.
► Before cleaning, allow the appliance
to cool down.
CAUTION
► Do not pull the connecting cable
to remove the plug from the mains
socket.
► Only use the cleaning spatula sup-
plied for cleaning the grilling plates.
► Never lift or move the appliance with
the mains cable.
► Do not cut any food on the grill plate.
► Use only spoons and spatulas suit-
able for non-stick surfaces.

Requirements for the place of use

For safe and trouble-free operation of the
appliance, the place of operation must sat-
isfy the following requirements:
■ Place the appliance on a level, heat
resistant surface that is also resistant
to splashing fat.
■ The surface finishes on furniture may
contain substances that can be detri-
mental to the rubber feet of the appli-
ance. If necessary, place a mat under
the feet of the appliance.
■ Do not place the appliance in a hot,
wet or very humid environment or in
the vicinity of inflammable materials.
There must be a gap of at least 15 cm
between the appliance and any walls,
furniture or other objects.
■ Select a location that does not allow
children to reach the hot surfaces of
the appliance.
■ The mains socket must be easily ac-
cessible and allow fast disconnection
in the event of an emergency.
■ Do not operate the appliance directly
underneath a smoke detector and
ensure that there is sufficient ventila-
tion in order to avoid triggering a false
alarm.
■ Light smoke develops while the ap-
pliance is operated with smoke chips.
Keep all pets, especially birds, away
from this smoke.
