*Please note: For direct mounting,
please observe the following for-
mula to determine length of fixing
screw required:-
Length of screw = Thickness of
mounting surface + 10mm.
Cable Termination
CAUTION: Before removing the
cover assembly, ensure that the
power to the unit is isolated.
Unscrew the grub screw in the
flange of the cover. Unscrew and
remove the cover and lens assembly
using the spanner supplied to gain
access to the inside of the unit. Un-
screw the 2 off plastic thumbscrews
and carefully lift the PCB assembly
clear of the mounting pillars to gain
access to the terminals.
Cable termination should be in
accordance with specifications
applying to the required applica-
tion. MEDC recommends that all
cables and cores should be cor-
rectly identified. Please refer to the
wiring diagram provided with the
product.
Ensure that only the correct listed
or certified cable glands are used
and that the assembly is shrouded
and correctly earthed.
All cable glands should be of an
equivalent NEMA/IP rating to that
of the strobe and integrated with
the unit such that this rating is
maintained.
The internal earth terminal, where
fitted, must be used for the equip-
ment grounding connection and the
external terminal is for a supple-
mentary bonding connection where
local codes or authorities permit or
require such a connection.
Once termination is complete re-
place the PCB assembly onto the
mounting pillars and fully tighten
the thumbscrews. Take care not
to overtighten. Replace the cover
assembly, ensuring the cover is

Éléments de connexion des câbles
ATTENTION: Avant de procéder à
la dépose du couvercle, vérifier que
l'équipement est hors circuit.
Desserrer la vis sans tête de la bride
du couvercle. Dévisser et enlever
l'ensemble couvercle/optique en
utilisant la clé fournie pour accéder
à l'intérieur du boîtier. Desserrer les
deux vis à molette en plastique puis
soulever la carte à circuit imprimé
avec précaution des colonnettes
pour accéder aux bornes.
La connexion des câbles doit se
faire conformément aux spécifica-
tions pertinentes. MEDC recom-
mande d'identifier clairement
tous les câbles et fils. Se référer au
schéma de câblage fourni.
Vérifier que les presse-étoupe du
type correct sont utilisés et que
l'ensemble est protégé et correcte-
ment relié à la terre.
Tous les presse-étoupe doivent
avoir un indice NEMA/IP équiva-
lent à celui du feu et être intégrés à
l'équipement de façon à assurer le
maintien de sa classification.
La borne interne de mise à la terre
(si installée) doit être utilisée pour
mettre l'équipement à la terre. La
borne externe de mise à la terre
est destinée à des connexions sup-
plémentaires et doit être utilisée lor-
sque la réglementation locale ou les
autorités autorisent ou requièrent
de telles connexions.
Une fois les raccordements ef-
fectués, remettre la carte à circuit
imprimé sur les colonnettes et ser-
rer à fond les vis à molette sans
exagérer. Remettre le couvercle en
place en le vissant à fond. Vérifier

eine direkte Montage nicht geeignet
erscheint.
MEDC empfiehlt die Verwendung
von Edelstahlschrauben.

Zur Befestigung mit Rückseitenband:

*Hinweis: Bei der Direktmontage ist
folgende Gleichung zur Bestimmung
der Befestigungsschraubenlänge zu
verwenden:
Schraubenlänge = Stärke der Mon-
tageoberfläche + 10mm.
Kabelendverschluss
VORSICHT: Vor der Entfernung des
Deckels sicherstellen, dass das Gerät
von der Spannungsversorgung
isoliert ist.

im Deckelflansch. Lösen und
entfernen Sie Deckel und Linse
mit dem mitgelieferten Schlüssel,
um Zugang zum Geräteinneren
zu erlangen. Lösen Sie die 2
Kunststoff-Flügelschrauben und
heben Sie die Platine vorsichtig
von den Haltesäulen, um Zugang
zu den Klemmen zu erhalten.
Der Kabelendverschluss ist in
Übereinstimmung mit den für die
gewünschte Anwendung geltenden
Spezifikationen durchzuführen.
MEDC empfiehlt, alle Kabel
und Adern ordnungsgemäß zu
kennzeichnen. Bitte orientieren Sie
sich am Schaltplan, der mit dem
Produkt geliefert wird.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass nur
entsprechend zugelassene oder
zertifizierte Anschlussstutzen
benutzt werden und die Baugruppe
ummantelt und richtig geerdet ist.
