4. Battery Replacement

a. the battery symbol ( ) is displayed when the batteries need to be replaced (battery voltage < ± 4.5V).
b. slide away the battery cover and remove the old batteries.
c. insert 4 new AA-batteries of 1.5V. Faulty installation can permanently damage the device.
d. remove the batteries if the device is not to be used for some time.

6. Use
Put the RPM/TOT selector in the RPM position. Attach a small strip of tape to the target surface. Press the
measuring button and point the laser beam at the strip of tape. The indicator should appear on the display when
you point the beam at the strip of tape (± 1 to 2 seconds).
