09 99 000 0501 crimping pliers for turned contacts
Information
The tool has a safety lock, which only releases the crimping
tool after a complete crimp.
Preparation
1.
The tool must be unlocked and fully open.
2.
Pull the safety clip out of the eyelet of the
positioning sleeve holder.
3.
Select the position sleeve required for the contact.
4.
Put on the position sleeve and turn it 90 ° until the
bayonet catch engages.
5.
Secure the position sleeve with the safety clip
(optional).
6.
The setting data for the selector can be read on the
position sleeve.
7.
With the tool fully open, raise the selector knob and
turn it to the appropriate position (arrow points to
the selected setting).
8.
To replace the position sleeve, remove the safety clip
and follow point 4 in reverse order.
Crimping
1.
Open the pliers completely and insert the contact
with the side to be crimped up into the pliers. The
positioner positions the crimp area.
2.
Then insert the stripped wire into the contact and
then crimp the contact by pressing the handles
together quickly and evenly.
3.
The crimp is ready when the handles are released
and open again. Remove the contact on the wire.
Care and Maintenance
The tool is maintenance-free. Make sure that the crimp
opening is free of residues and dirt.
Clean after 100 crimps
Crimp check after 1000 crimps
Maintenance after 10,000 crimps or 3 years
The Go/No-Go Gage, article-no. 09 99000 0617, can be
used for verification.
Important!
Care should be taken to ensure that
• the tool is not immersed in cleaning baths!
• no oil is used for lubrication!
• the tool is not disassembled!
Only use tool for crimping!
Only HARTING crimp contacts can be
processed with the tool!
Protect the tool from dust and
moisture!
Do not open the tool by force!
