NOTE:
• The quickest way to heat up the heated underblanket is to select the highest temperature setting
of the controller, first.
• We strongly recommend switching on the heated underblanket approx. 30 minutes before going to
bed and covering it with the quilt to prevent the warmth from escaping.

4.5 Automatic switch-off UB 60, UB 66 XXL

The electric bed switches off automatically after approx. 6 hours (resp. 3 h or 90 min., depending on ver-
sion – see switch printing). While the electric bed is heated, the red lamp on the switch is on. Once the
selected switch-off time has lapsed, the electric bed stops heating and the red lamp starts to flash. In order
to re-heat the electric bed, first set the switch to position "0" for 5 seconds (off) and then select the desired
temperature setting.
If the electric bed is no longer in use after it has been switched off (by the timer), it should be manually
switched off (setting "0") or the plug should be removed from the socket.

4.6 Switching off

To switch off the electric underblanket, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature settings to the OFF (0)
position. The temperature settings are then no longer illuminated.
NOTE:
If the electric underblanket is not used for several days, set the slider for ON/OFF and temperature
settings to the OFF (0) position and remove the mains plug from the socket.

5. Cleaning and care

WARNING
Always remove the supply plug from the mains outlet and remove the con-
troller from the heated underblanket by disconnecting it at the connector.
Otherwise there is a risk of an electric shock.
CAUTION
• The controller must never come into contact with water or other liquids, as this may cause damage.
To clean the controller, use a dry, lint-free cloth. To remove stains from the heated underblanket use a damp
cloth and, if necessary, a mild cleaning agent. Do not use cleaning agents containing solvent or scouring
agents.
5.1 Cleaning and care of electric underblanket UB 33
If very dirty, the electric underblanket can be washed by hand at 30 °C (not hand wash cycle of washing
machines). Use a mild liquid detergent for the hand wash (dosage according to manufacturer's instructions).
Ensure that no water enters the switch during washing and drying.
WARNING
• Do not attach the heated underblanket to washing lines with washing pegs or the like. Otherwise the
heated underblanket may be damaged.
• Only reconnect the controller to the heated underblanket after the connector and the heated under-
blanket are completely dry. Otherwise the heated underblanket may be damaged.
• Under no circumstances switch on the heated underblanket to dry it. Otherwise there is a risk of an
electric shock.
CAUTION
• Note that the heated underblanket must not be dry-cleaned, wrung out, machine dried or ironed.
