Maintenance
Cleaning
Clean the equipment with mild and lukewarm soapy
water.
Spray, liquids or other cleansers containing solvents and/
or alcohol can reduce the protective capabilities.
Maintenance, wear and disposal
The condition of the protective equipment should be
checked regularly. A damaged equipment should always
be replaced.
Follow local regulations for disposal and recycling.
Protective helmet
At the first signs of wear, blows, damages or aging of the
material, the helmet's shell or suspension should be
replaced to guarantee the helmet's protective capabilities.
Check regularly!
A protective helmet that shows signs of damage, e.g.
cracks or scratches, that might reduce its protective
capabilities, must be disposed of.
The helmet should also be disposed of if it has been
involved in an accident or incident, even if it does not have
any visual damage.
The helmet ages faster if exposed to ultraviolet rays. The
helmet has a color indicator that shows when it has
reached its maximum service life and should be
scrapped. This color indicator starts off red, but changes
with the degree of radiation the helmet is exposed to.
(Figure 17) Once the color indicator has lost all its red
color, the helmet must be replaced. The helmet should be
stored cool and dark in order maximize its service life.
IMPORTANT! Never use the helmet longer that 5 years
after its date of production (See stamp inside the
helmet)
Hearing protection
The ear muffs, and especially the sealing rings, can be
impaired due to use and aging. Check the hearing
protectors regularly for cracks or leakage. Worn or
damaged parts are easy to replace. (Figure 15)
Make sure the extruding part of the sealing ring is pointed
downwards during assembly. (Figure 16)
The protector cups, sealing ring and absorbent can be
easily cleaned with soap and water.
Use only hygiene kits from the manufacturer, art. no. 505

This product may be damaged considerably by certain
chemicals. Additional information is provided by the
manufacturer.
Mesh visor
The product is partly made from plastic material of high
quality. However, plastic material may age prematurely if
exposed to intense UV light, e.g. prolonged exposure to
direct sunlight.
If the product shows signs of damage such as scratches
and/or cracks or seems fragile, it must be disposed of.
