• Batteries must not be swallowed!
Insert batteries (figure C)
CAUTION! Observe the following instruc-
tions to avoid mechanical and electrical
damage.
Insert the batteries included in the delivery into the
battery compartment of the cooking surface (20)
before assembling the article.
Inserting the batteries
1. Release the screw on the battery compartment
on the back of the cooking surface (20) using
an appropriate screwdriver and remove the
cover.
2. Carefully insert the batteries into the battery
compartment. The batteries must be contained
completely within the battery compartment.
Note: Please note the plus and minus poles
on the batteries and ensure they are inserted
correctly.
3. Screw the cover at the rear back on tightly.

Changing the batteries

CAUTION! Observe the following instruc-
tions to avoid mechanical and electrical
damage.
If the batteries stop working then exchange them
as described in the section on inserting batteries.
Remove the batteries from the article before inser-
ting the new batteries.
Note: Pull on the end of the tape in the battery
compartment to remove the batteries more easily.
Assembly
• Follow the individual steps as shown in figures
B – O to assemble the article.
• You will need a further screwdriver to assemble
the article.
Note: When inserting the cooking surface (20)
please ensure that you first hook one side of the
cooking surface into the slot on the kitchen unit
(figure N).
Adjustable article height
The article can be assembled at three different
heights. The feet have different heights. The article
becomes higher depending on which side of the
feet you insert into the legs on the article (side A
or B):

Attachment to the wall

We recommend attaching the article to the wall
for optimal stability.
There is a drill hole on the back of the work
surface (11).
1. Place the bracket (34) over the drill hole with
the screw opening (34a).
2. Measure the necessary distance between the
wall and the article.
3. Attach the bracket to the article using the
washer (35) and screw (36).
4. Attach the bracket to the wall using a corres-
ponding dowel and wall screw.
Switching the cooking surface
on and off (figure C)
A button (20a) is located under each of the two
cooking surfaces (20).
Press the button once: cooking surface on.
Note: The light on the cooking surface switches
off automatically after a few minutes.
Press the button twice: cooking surface off.
Care and storage
Always store the article in a clean, dry place at
room temperature. Never clean with abrasive
cleaning materials, only wipe clean with a dry
cleaning cloth.
