1. The alarm does not sound when pressing t he t est but t on.
2. The indicat or light rem ains lit or doesn¡¯ t light up, i.e. it does not
go on and off every 40 seconds ( when t he sm oke det ect or does
not sound t he alarm ) .
Tr y t h e follow in g:
1. Check t he sm oke det ect or for visible dam age.
2. Make sure t he sm oke det ect or cont ains t he
recom m ended bat t ery t ype.
3. Make sure t he bat t ery is properly inst alled.
4. Carefully vacuum t he sm oke det ect or ( see Cleaning)
5. Replace t he bat t ery.
I f t hese act ions do not solve t he problem , do not t ry t o repair it
yourself. I f t he problem s occur wit hin t he warrant y period and are
under warrant y condit ions, ret urn t he sm oke det ect or plus valid
proof of purchase wit h a clear descript ion of t he com plaint s t o:
