Voltage Detector – GK7
GB
Detection pin
LED diode
Technical specification
Voltage range: (AC – alternating current) 70V - 1000V
Indication: lighting of LED diode + acoustic signal
Frequency range 50/60 Hz
International Symbols
Warning, dangerous hazard – Electric shock hazard
Use
Before use insert batteries (2x 1.5V AAA).
Use only alkaline batteries of the same type, do not use rechargeable batteries.
Turn the battery cover into OFF position, and then press down and turn it to the right.
Free the cover and insert the batteries, watch for correct polarity.
Put the cover back in OFF position.
Voltage Detection
Turn the battery cover to ON position.
Put the pin to the voltage source (socket, cable).
In case the source is charged, the red diode will flash and sound signal will be activated.
Then turn the upper cover to OFF position – detector is inactive.
If the sound and visual signal are weak, replace the batteries.
Maintenance
Detector is maintenance free– there are no serviceable parts.
Cleaning
The detector body may be cleaned with moist fine cloth.
Do not use aggressive solvents. Prevent water entring into the device.
Short circuit may result from water presence inside the device.
Safety Instructions
• Voltage Detector GK7 is designed for measuring of AC voltage ranging between 70V – 1000V.
• Test only charged circuits, if known, respectively respective voltage of the charged part within the
measuring range.
• Check functions on known voltage source before detecting.
• If the pin is damaged, or the detector does not function properly according to the instructions, stop
using the detector.
• During measuring hold the detector beyond the raised protective ring which protects the fingers from
accidental contact with measured voltage.
• The detector body and pin must be dry during measurement. Do not use in rainy conditions.
• Never use the detector with wet hands.
