M-80 Microphone

Introduction

The OMNITRONIC M-80 is a dynamic handheld microphone with XLR and USB outputs for use with mixing
consoles and computers. It is perfect for recording your music, podcast or an acoustic audio source on your
DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). With a sampling rate of 16 bits, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz, the integrated high-
resolution analog-to-digital converter provides high-end audio quality. The M-80 also features a built-in
stereo headphones output with separate volume control for zero-latency monitoring during recording. The
microphone connects both PC and Mac and requires no setup thanks to its plug & play functionality. Delivery
includes a USB cable and a tripod stand.

Control Elements and Connections

Microphone grill
Protects the capsule and reduces wind noise and p-popping.

Capsule
Dynamic capsule with cardioid pickup pattern.

USB indicator
Lights blue when the microphone is connected to a USB port.

On/off switch
Switches the XLR output on and off.

Buttons ▲ and ▼
For adjusting the volume at the headphones output or the assigned
output device.

XLR output
3-pin XLR output for connecting the microphone input of your audio
unit (e.g. mixing console).

Headphones output
3.5 mm jack for connecting stereo headphones or studio monitors.

USB port
Type B, for connecting a computer. The audio data, digitized with the
A/D converter, is sent to your computer via this USB port.
