How to carry your child on your back
From 12 months of age your child is big enough to be carried on your back. Start by placing your child in
the baby carrier facing you, see pics 1-13 on previous pages. use the wide leg position. Then follow the
instructions below.
loosen the shoulder straps by lifting

weighing 3.5–15 kg.
• For children of 0–approx. 4 months
always use the upper newborn height.
• Small children can fall through a leg
opening. adjust the leg openings to
fit the child's legs snugly.
• The leg straps must be used for
children weighing 3.5–4.5 kg.
• The child must face you (inwards)
until they can hold their head upright
(approx. 5 months).
• The baby carrier must not be used as
a back carrier for children younger
than 12 months.
• The baby carrier may only be
used when you are walking, sitting
or standing.
• The baby carrier is noT suitable for use
during sports or other leisure activities.

• To keep the child safe in the baby

have sufficient space for breathing

• avoid dressing your child too warmly.
• check that all buckles are securely
fastened before using the baby carrier.
• never use a damaged baby carrier.
• never lie down with your child in
the baby carrier.
• never sleep while your child is in
the baby carrier.
• regularly check that your child is
comfortably and securely seated in
the baby carrier, especially when
using as a back carrier.
