• The PIN code is set in the control software. When the operating voltage is applied while the SIM card
is inserted, the module tries to dial into the mobile phone net with this PIN code (even if it was not
configured yet)!
Attention:
In case of a wrong PIN code, the SIM card is blocked after the third attempt!
Then the card can only be unblocked in a mobile phone with the super PIN.
• Now re-connect the operating voltage. Then the GSM LED starts blinking afterwards approx. every 3
seconds and the module tries to dial into the GSM network.
• With the software "Control module", you can display the status of the module's inputs and outputs in
the menu point Communication and also reprogram them in running operation using Send.
With this module, a switching message can be sent to another module. If you send the
message to another module, "Response" may not be activated on the receiving device!
To familiarise yourself with the functions of the module, you should always connect it to
the PC the first few times, enter the desired settings and monitor all messages in the
STATUS display of the software!

8. Maintenance and cleaning

To clean the outside of the housing, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. For stronger conta-
mination, use a cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.

• Now insert the SIM card in the SIM support on the back of
the module. To do so, shift the cover of the SIM support
slightly and fold it open. Insert the SIM card into the cover,
close it and and arrest it by sliding. Observe the marking on
the card.
