1 Product Description

This manual describes the operation of the DOL 278AT emergency opening unit. The manual
provides the user with the basic knowledge about DOL 278AT's functions, which are necessary for
optimum operation.
DOL 278AT is an advanced emergency opening unit, which provides optimum security in case of
technical failure. This is achieved by means of a separate temperature sensor and manual setting of
temperature limit for emergency opening. DOL 278AT will open only precisely as much as necessary.
DOL 278 is equipped with an outside temperature sensor, so that high summer temperatures are also
taken into account. Therefore, DOL 278AT does not perform an emergency opening when a too high
inside temperature is caused by an extra high outside temperature, which cannot be eliminated by
ventilation anyway.
Emergency opening is not available for all control failures.
DOL 278AT and its settings are monitored by the climate computer. This generates alarms, e.g. in
case DOL 278AT's temperature knob for emergency opening has been set too high by mistake, or the
battery voltage is too low.
DOL 278AT is available in the following variants:
• DOL 278AT-1 temperature controlled emergency opening, medium (one-house)
• DOL 278AT-2 temperature controlled emergency opening, medium (two-house)
• DOL 278ATL-1 temperature controlled emergency opening, large (one-house)

Green: Enough voltage for opening of flaps.

At least 10 min. before test or 5 hours for a complete charge.
Sets the house temperature at which emergency opening must be
activated
Red lamp lit when current inside temperature is higher than temperature
setpoint.
Yellow lamp lit when emergency opening is postponed because of
summer temperature.
Green lamp lit when the system opens.
