II. Description – purpose
of use
• The Extol® Craft 920201 Digital laser distance meter
with backlit two-row display is intended for the
measurement of distance, area and volume.. The
device has a continual length measurement function
and depending on the settings it also enables the
measurement of distance either from the front part
of the device or from the back of the device, e.g. when
a distance between walls needs to be measured.

Note:
• The start of measurement, i.e. measurement from
the front part of the device or from the back part
of the device , is changed by simultaneously press-
ing the "FUNC" and "C/OFF" buttons, see below.
IV. Using the device
INSERTING BATTERIES
• After removing the cover located on the
back of the device, insert type AAA batter-
ies into the battery compartment in the
direction indicated by the polarities +/-.

ATTENTION
• Always insert dry, undamaged and non-corrod-
ed batteries into the device.
• Do not combine batteries of various ages, types
or various discharge levels.
• Always replace the batteries for new ones when
the display indicates that they are flat.
TURNING THE DEVICE ON/OFF
• Turn the device on/off by pressing button C/OFF.
The device has an automatic shut-off function
after 3 minutes of inactivity (the laser power
source is turned off approximately 3 seconds of
inactivity).
SETTING THE MEASURING UNITS
• Hold down the "FUNC" button to scroll through
the length measuring units m/ft/in and set the
