Maintenance

WARNING: Before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning on the Battery Charger
(12), ALWAYS disconnect from the mains power supply.
WARNING: Before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning on the multi-tool, ALWAYS
remove the battery.
Note: There are no user-serviceable parts in both the oscillating multi-tool and the Battery
Charger. If the device does not perform as outlined in this manual, return it to an authorised
Silverline service centre for repair.
General inspection
• Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight
• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs
should be carried out by an authorised Silverline service centre. This advice also applies
to extension cords used with this tool
Cleaning
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly,
and shorten the machine's service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft

Problem

• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant
Storage
• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
• Always remove the battery before storing this tool
• If storing for an extended period of time, store the battery at full-charge, separate from
the tool, and ensure the battery is recharged every 3 months
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer
functional and are not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment
(WEEE), with household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to
dispose of power tools
Solution
Clean battery socket of Battery Charger and battery contacts and fully slide
on to Battery Charger so it clicks in a locked position
Recheck mains connection
Do not remove Battery until a full charge is indicated
This is normal for battery packs. Contact your Silverline dealer to purchase a
replacement battery pack
Recharge Battery or replace with a fully charged Battery

Contact your Silverline dealer or authorised service centre

For some materials, including hardened metals, compatible blades are
unavailable. Revert to alternative methods of cutting
