Safety instructions

The appliance must be connected to a voltage supply of 220 - 240 V only.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
No warranty for any possible damage can be accepted if the appliance is used for
improper purpose, wrongly operated or unprofessionally repaired. In such a case, any
warranty claim is void.
The appliance is designed for household use and not for industrial operation. Do not
operate the appliance out of doors.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.
If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
Regularly check if the mains cable / appliance / extension lead is defective. In this
case the appliance must not be put into operation (immediately pull the plug). Send it
to the manufacturer for repair.
Only trained personnel should repair electrical appliances. Unskilled repairs can cause
considerable danger to the user.
Place the cable and, if necessary, an extension cable in such a way that pulling or trip-
ping over it is impossible.
If you use an extension cable, it must be suitable for the corresponding power source.
Otherwise, there is a risk of overheating the cable and/or plug.
Do not allow power cable to hang down within easy reach. Keep children away from
packing material (e.g. plastic bags).
Never carry or pull the appliance by the cable. Don't pull the cable over sharp edges.
Don't jam it. Don't bend it.
Switch the appliance off and pull the plug out of the mains when it is not in use. Don't
wind the cable around the appliance.
Switch the appliance off before disconnecting the plug from the socket.
Never pull the plug out of the socket by the cable or with wet hands. Disconnect the
mains plug in case of faults during use, before cleaning or moving the appliance from
place to place, after use.
Caution! The appliance is energised as long as it is connected to the power supply.
The appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
Do not immerse the appliance in water. Danger of electric shock!
Do not open the casing. Danger of electric shock!
Do not insert any objects into the inside of the casing.
Never put the appliance / cable on hot surfaces or near open flames.
Never switch the appliance on when the coffee pot is not underneath the filter.
