Cleaning
Unplug the appliance and allow to cool down before cleaning.
•
Wipe the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
•
Remove the filter and dispose of the used coffee grounds.
•
All removable parts can be cleaned under running water with a little washing-up liquid.
Never use petrol, solvents, abrasive cleaners, metal objects or metal polish.
Descaling
The appliance generally requires descaling every 1 to 3 months. The frequency will depend
on how often the appliance is used and on the hardness of the water. The harder the
water, the more often the appliance will have to be descaled. Information regarding water
hardness can be obtained from your local water supplier.
•
Use a commercial descaler and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
The process may need to be repeated depending on the hardness of the water.
•
After descaling, run the appliance 2 or 3 times with fresh, cold water (without coffee).
Dispose of the processed water each time.
Never pour hot descaler into the water tank.
Never pour descaler into an enamelled sink.
