10.5. Replacing the round fan
control spindle
Information!
The round fan control (R) is per-
manently set to an optimum value
by a lock washer and cannot be
adjusted. However, the compo-
nents can be replaced if mainte-
nance is required.
Remove spindle
■ Unscrew counter-sunk screw [13-4].
■ Pull off control knob [13-3].
■ Unscrew and remove spindle [13-2]
using SATA universal wrench.
■ Remove lock washer [13-1].
Install new spindle
■ Install lock washer [13-1].
■ Screw in spindle [13-2] using SATA
universal wrench.
■ Install control knob [13-3].
■ Screw in counter-sunk screw [13-4]
until hand tight. Secure with Loctite
242.
10.6. Replacing the gun body
dial
Removing the dial
■ Remove screw [14-4].
■ Remove washer [14-3].
■ Remove dial [14-2].
■ Remove spacer [14-1].
Installing a new dial
■ Install spacer [14-1].
■ Install dial [14-2] with markings facing
outward.
■ Install washer [14-3].
■ Screw in counter-sunk screw [14-4]
until hand tight.

10.7. Replace control piston
If the gasket or collar on the con-
trol piston is damaged, air can
escape from the material quantity
control [1-4] or the regulating cap
[1-2].
→ Replace gasket or collar imme-
diately.
The sealing surface on the con-
trol piston is extremely sensitive
and can be damaged easily.
→ Do not hold on sealing surface
to tighten control piston.
Remove components
■ Unscrew and remove control cap
■ Remove washer [15-2] and spring
■ Unscrew and remove end cap [15-4].
■ Remove both springs [15-5], [15-6].
■ Remove paint needle [15-7].
■ Pull out control piston [15-8] with flat-
■ Attach control piston [16-7] using
■ Unscrew Allen screw (4 mm) [16-9].
■ Remove O-ring [16-8].
■ Unscrew hollow screw (14 mm)
■ Remove washer [16-2] and collar
■ Remove pressure spring [16-4],
■ Check parts for damage and contami-
