from SATA for support in adjust-
ing the spay parameters (see
Chap. 13).
9.2. Normal operation
The automatic gun has an internal
control. The control air triggers a
control pulse opening the spray air
valve in the automatic gun. This
allows the spray air on the automat-
ic gun to remain continuously under
pressure.
Before using observe/check the
following points to ensure safe op-
eration of the automatic gun.
■ Is automatic gun mounted securely?
■ Are the compressed air flow rate and
pressure ensured?
■ Is the compressed air clean?
Preparing the material supply
Information!
To prevent material from flowing
out of the gravity flow cup, un-
screw and remove the flow cup
only when it is empty.
A gravity flow cup supplies the material
to the automatic gun.
■ Screw the gravity flow cup onto the
flow cup connector.
■ Unscrew and remove the lid.
■ Fill the gravity flow cup.
■ Screw on the lid (including lid plug).

If the required gun input pressure
is not present, increase the pres-
sure in the compressed air circuit.
■ Set spray air to required input pres-
sure.
Adjust material flow rate
Notice!
The grub screw [4-1] serves for
arresting the material flow con-
trol and is permanently glued in
place.
The needle is lifted 1.0 mm for
each turn of the material flow
control and 0.04 mm per gradu-
ated unit.
The adjustable graduated collar
[1-3] and the dial on the gun body
[1-13] are used to adjust and rep-
licate the material flow rate. The
graduated collar can be locked at
the desired setting using the lock-
ing screw [1-10].
Adjust the material flow rate as follows:
■ Screw in the material flow control to
the end stop.
■ Set the graduated collar to zero and
lock it in place with the locking screw.
Align the graduated collar flush to
the left of the smallest marking on
the gun body dial and rotate it so that
the large 0 dial marker is aligned with
the upper edge of the gun body dial.
