Listening to audio from BLUETOOTH devices

Connecting for the first time

Audio from BLUETOOTH devices, such as
portable players, can be enjoyed on the System.
The BLUETOOTH device must be registered on
(paired with) the System the first time that it is
connected.

Set the audio source to "BLUETOOTH".

Perform pairing on the BLUETOOTH
device.
• For information on pairing, see the manual
for the BLUETOOTH device.
Select "SP-AP1" (the System) from the list of
found devices on the BLUETOOTH device.
• If a PIN code (password) is required, enter
"0000".

Play audio on the BLUETOOTH device.
The audio will be output through the
System. Playback may start automatically.
NOTE
• From the next time onwards, when the
BLUETOOTH function on the System is
enabled, the System will automatically
connect to the last connected device.
• To reconnect to a different BLUETOOTH
device, disconnect the currently connected
BLUETOOTH device before connecting the
other BLUETOOTH device.
• Depending on the BLUETOOTH device, it may
not be possible to connect to the System.
• If the BLUETOOTH connection has not been
fully established, the front indicator lamp
flashes in blue.
• If you are unable to connect, in some cases a
connection can be established by deleting the
System pairing from the BLUETOOTH device,
and repairing the device with the System.

Disconnecting BLUETOOTH devices

When the audio source is BLUETOOTH
(hold)
NOTE
The device will automatically be disconnected
in the following circumstances.
• When the BLUETOOTH device is
disconnected, or the BLUETOOTH function is
disabled.
• When the System enters normal standby or
network standby mode.
• When the System or the BLUETOOTH device
is turned off.
CAUTION
Only connect the following devices.
– Devices with BLUETOOTH version 2.1+EDR
– Devices with BLUETOOTH profile A2DP and
AVRCP
• BLUETOOTH devices can be used up to a
distance of 10 m. This distance may be shorter,
depending on the environment.
• If iPhone or Android devices are connected
using BLUETOOTH, ring tones and message
alert sounds may be played through the
speakers.
• The system does not include a microphone.
To answer phone calls, disconnect the device
from the System, or use the microphone on
the iPhone/Android device.
