DESCRIPTION OF YOUR TOASTER

WHEN USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

It is possible that the toaster generates a slight smell during its first use. This is due to
fat or manufacturing residues remaining inside the toaster or on its heating element.
This is normal and fades after a few uses. During its first use, it is recommended
that the appliance is operated as indicated below, but without bread, then left to cool
down before toasting the first slice of bread.

USING YOUR TOASTER

1. Insert a regular slice of bread in the toaster slot. A maximum of two slices can be
inserted in the toaster. To toast only one side of the bread or a piece of irregular
shaped bread, put the bread on the toasting rack, toasting one at a time. The
toasting rack is removable. To use it, open it and place on top of the toaster. Then
lay the bread on the support rack.
NOTE:
1). Check that the crumb collector is inserted in the appliance before use.
2). Before toasting bread on the toasting rack, let the appliance cool down.
3). If you are not using the toasting rack, fold it and store away.
2. Plug the power cable into the mains socket.
3. Adjust the control knob to the desired browning level. This button has 7 positions,
1 corresponds to the lightest browning and 7 to the heaviest. In the middle
position, the bread will come out golden.
NOTE:
1). The toasting is more intense when you toast only one slice instead of two at the
same time.
2). During successive toastings, successive slices of bread brown more than the
previous.
4. Lower the lever vertically until it is locked. The Cancel light will turn on and the
appliance immediately begins to toast.
NOTE: The lever only locks when the appliance is plugged in.
5. Once the bread is toasted to the selected level, the lever automatically goes up. You
can also raise the lever manually a bit more to be able to remove the bread more
easily.
NOTE: During toasting, observe the colour of the bread. When its colour seems
satisfactory to you, you can press the Cancel button to cancel the toasting process
underway, but never raise the lever to cancel it.
6. To toast frozen bread, press first of all the Defrost button. The Defrost button
light turns on. Adjust the control knob to the desired toasting level, then lower the
lever vertically until it locks into place. In this mode, the bread is toasted to your
desired browning level.
7. To reheat toasted bread that has already gone cold, first press the Reheat button.
The Reheat button light turns on, then lower the lever vertically until it locks into
place. In this mode, the heating time is pre-set. Once this time has elapsed, the
lever will automatically go up and the toaster will stop heating.
