• The temperature of adjacent surfaces may be
high when the appliance is on.
• The appliance is not designed to be used in
conjunction with a separate timer or with a
control system used at a distance.
• Only plug your appliance into an earthed
socket, or into an extension with integrated
earthing. Check that the voltage indicated on
the appliance rating plate corresponds to that
of your mains electricity.
• Do not use the toaster when you have wet
hands or bare feet.
• Remove the plug immediately if you notice any
abnormality when the appliance is on.
• Do not pull on the cord to remove the plug.
• Do not let the power cord hang from a table
or work surface to prevent the appliance from
falling.
• Do not touch the toaster except via the handle
and the controls. The other parts of the
product are very hot.
• Protect the appliance from moisture and
sources of high temperatures (cooker, oven,
hotplates etc.).

• If your appliance falls or is damaged in any
way, have it checked by an approved service
centre.
• Unplug your appliance when not used for
prolonged periods and when cleaning.
• It is advisable that you supervise children to
ensure they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not attempt, under any circumstances, to
touch or move food while the appliance is on,
no matter what utensil you may try to use. It
is strongly advised, even when unplugged, that
you do not poke any object into the toaster
and it's heating elements. This will damage the
toaster and render it dangerous.
• Caution: To avoid all risk of fire, remove
residual crumbs regularly. Do not leave the
appliance on unattended.
• When disposing of the appliance, please
refer to the chapter "DISPOSAL OF OLD
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES".
• For the maintenance and cleaning of your
toaster, refer to the chapter "CLEANING
AND MAINTENANCE".
