devices and too few power outlets—the Kensington Portable Power Outlet is the solution to your power and charging
needs. With the Portable Power Outlet, you can simultaneously power and charge up to five mobile devices, including your
notebook computer, mobile or smart phone, PDA, or MP3 player—just about all your essentials—from a single wall outlet.
Three AC outlets and two USB ports provide maximum flexibility in the devices you can power and charge.

Your Portable Power Outlet is not a toy. Keep it away from children. Make sure that all persons who operate your
Portable Power Outlet read and follow this Instruction Guide.
To avoid potential property damage, disconnect input power to your Portable Power Outlet when it is not in use.

Your Portable Power Outlet may become hot during operation. To prevent serious or fatal injury and/or property
damage, provide ventilation and refrain from placing items on or around your Portable Power Outlet during operation.
Do not operate your Portable Power Outlet near a heat source or heat vent, or in direct sunlight.
Your Portable Power Outlet should be used in temperatures between 50-80 degrees Fahrenheit
(10–27 degrees Celsius).
Keep your Portable Power Outlet dry. Direct contact of your Portable Power Outlet to moisture may lead to electrical
shock, causing serious or fatal injury and/or property damage. Consult a qualified technician for a complete safety
evaluation before resuming use of your Portable Power Outlet when it has come into direct contact with moisture.
Inspect your Portable Power Outlet and cables for damage and wear before use. If damage is observed, do not use
or attempt to repair your Portable Power Outlet and/or cables. Consult a qualified technician for a complete safety
evaluation.
Your Portable Power Outlet is not user-serviceable. Do not attempt to modify, repair, or tamper with the external or
internal components of your Portable Power Outlet. Doing so will void the warranty and may lead to serious or fatal
injury and/or property damage.
Connecting Devices to Your Portable Power Outlet
You can connect up to three AC-powered devices and two USB-compatible devices to your Portable Power Outlet.
1.
Plug the AC power cord on your Portable Power Outlet into an AC wall outlet.
2.
Plug your AC-powered or USB-compatible device into an appropriate port or outlet on your Portable Power Outlet.
Charging a USB-Compatible Mobile Device
If your mobile device—for example, an iPod—comes with a USB cable, simply plug the cable into the device and into a USB
port on your Portable Power Outlet.
If your mobile device does not come with a USB cable, you can purchase Kensington USB Power Tips that allow you to charge
your device with the Portable Power Outlet. For more information, visit www.kensington.com.
NOTE: Under certain circumstances, you may not be able to charge a mobile device using a USB power port on your
Portable Power Outlet. Please visit www.kensington.com for the latest information.
Surge Protection Indicator Light
The green surge protection indicator light indicates that surge protection is on and your equipment is being protected.
If the indicator light turns off, the surge protection feature has stopped working and you should replace your Portable
Power Outlet.
WARNING! Your Portable Power Outlet can still power/charge devices even after the surge
protection stops working. Continuing to use your Outlet after the indicator light goes out
can damage your electronic devices.
