10. Troubleshooting

If you have trouble using the product, please refer to the commonly occuring problems
which are listed in this section.
Problem
Device will not turn on
Cannot identify bearing
to the transmitter
Hear odd beeping sound
from the receiver
Speaker can't be heard
If the receiver dropped
into water
If the troubleshooting section did not solve the problem, it may be that the equipment
has malfunctioned or been damaged. In this situation, the user must send it to Tracker
or a Tracker authourized service centre for service. Please present your proof of
purchase and the warranty card which is printed on the last page on this manual.

All Tracker equipment has a warranty for 24 months (6 months for accessories). For
more information on our warranty policy, please check the warranty terms on the next
page.
Solution
Check whether the battery has been placed correctly. It is
possible that the battery has been depleted. In this case,
replace with new battery.
Improper holding pose may disrupt the signal
transmission. Make sure the antennas are fully extended
and untouched while tracking.
Environment disturbance such as powerlines, buildings
and thick wall can disrupt the signal transmission. If there
is a powerlines near your position, sweep 180 degrees
with your back to the powerlines. Go to the other side
of the powerlines and again sweep 180 degrees with
your back to them. Other than that, tracking from higher
ground can improve the signal transmission.
If you hear fast beeping sound from the receiver, it means
the battery is nearly depleted. Replace with new one as
soon as possible.
The gain level is set to low for the device to produce sig-
nal level sound. Set the gain level higher. If it still doesn't
produce any sound, send the device to Tracker for service.
Do NOT turn the receiver on ! Remove the batteries and
battery cover and dry any visible water. Send the device
to Tracker for checking as soon as possible. However,
please be aware that water damage is not covered by
warranty.
