When using the equipment, a few safety pre-
cautions must be observed to avoid injuries and
damage. Please read the complete operating
instructions and safety regulations with due care.
Keep this manual in a safe place, so that the in-
formation is available at all times. If you give the
equipment to any other person, hand over these
operating instructions and safety regulations as
well. We cannot accept any liability for damage
or accidents which arise due to a failure to follow
these instructions and the safety instructions.

1. Safety regulations

Warning!
Read all the safety information, instructions,
illustrations and technical data provided on
or with this power tool. Failure to adhere to the
following instructions may result in electric shock,
fi re and/or serious injury.
Keep all the safety information and instruc-
tions in a safe place for future use.
•
It is imperative to follow the information in the-
se operating instructions. Also, the safety
instructions and accident prevention regulati-
ons required by the law must be observed.
•
Important! It is prohibited to vacuum dange-
rous substances with the ash filter!
•
Important. Do not use the ash filter in con-
nection with a standard household vacuum
cleaner.
•
Do not vacuum ash from unacceptable fuels.
•
Do not use the ash filter to vacuum hot,
glowing or combustible objects (for example
charcoal, cigarettes,...).
•
Important! Do not vacuum soot!
•
Important! The material being vacuumed
must not exceed a temperature of 40°C.
•
Important! If the temperature of the material
being vacuumed exceeds 40°C, there is a risk
of fire.
•
Important! If the permissible temperature
is exceeded, there is a risk of the vacuum
cleaner, the ash filter and the hoses being
damaged.
•
Important! Some materials can look cool on
the outside but still be hot on the inside. Hot
materials can re-ignite in a current of air.
•
Before you begin with the vacuuming, wait for
the material to cool down completely. Do not
extinguish hot particles of ash with water as

the sudden differences in temperature can
cause cracks to form in your fireplace.
•
When vacuuming inside ovens, be certain to
wait for the oven to cool down completely as
temperatures above 40°C can damage the
vacuum cleaner and the ash filter.
•
While you are vacuuming, check the hoses,
the ash filer and the vacuum cleaner continu-
ally for overheating.
•
If you discover overheating, switch off the
vacuum cleaner immediately, pull out the po-
wer plug and take out the filter bag. Separate
the ash filter from the vacuum cleaner and
remove the vacuumed material. Then leave
the vacuum cleaner and the ash filter to cool
outdoors under supervision.
•
Important! When you are finished with your
work, empty the ash filter and the vacuum
cleaner completely as there may still be a risk
of fire.
•
Important! The ash filter is not suitable for va-
cuuming soot or fine dust.

2.2 Items supplied
Please check that the article is complete as
specifi ed in the scope of delivery. If parts are
missing, please contact our service center or the
sales outlet where you made your purchase at
the latest within 5 working days after purchasing
the product and upon presentation of a valid bill
of purchase. Also, refer to the warranty table in
the service information at the end of the operating
instructions.
•
Open the packaging and take out the equip-
ment with care.
•
Remove the packaging material and any
packaging and/or transportation braces (if
available).
•
Check to see if all items are supplied.
•
Inspect the equipment and accessories for
