General

Before commissioning this product, please ensure that you have
read these instructions thoroughly and checked the product for
any damage. Make sure that these operating instructions are
kept in a safe place. Never use the product if it shows any signs
of damage. This product must be kept out of reach of children
and unauthorised persons. Always ensure compliance with
these instructions during installation and operation. The product
must be correctly disposed of at the end of its life service.
Electronic components must be placed with hazardous waste.

Function

This system has the advantages of being easily installed and
operated. It may be used in detached houses or single flats, as
appropriate. The door area is monitored using a camera with
wide angle lense and fixed-focus system. During the hours of
darkness, an area of 1 to 2 metres in front of the door intercom is
illuminated by invisible infra-red light.
Only VD2081: This system is designed to connect two monitors
to one door intercom, and is ideal for houses having one
entrance but two separate apartments, for example.
The door intercom may be used outside and is designed to be
fitted within the wall rendering. The fixing point must be
protected from spray and rain water. The connection between
the video door intercom and the monitor is via 2 core flex, and
this may be extended, using ordinary 2 core flex (0.75 mm_), to
around 70 metres.
Only VD 2081: 2 core cabling needs to be laid from each monitor
to the door intercom. This may also be extended to 70 m.
