3. USE GUIDELINES
The device is designed for soldering, desoldering or
shrinking electronic and electrical connections.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.

3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The temperature of environment must not be higher than
40°C and the relative humidity should be less than 85%.
Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device is
being used. There should be at least 10 cm distance between
each side of the device and the wall or other objects. The
device should always be used when positioned on an even,
stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out of the
reach of children and persons with limited mental and
sensory functions. Position the device such that you always
have access to the power plug. The power cord connected to
the appliance must be properly grounded and correspond
to the technical details on the product label.
Connection:
1)
Make sure that the main [8] switch is in the OFF
position.
2)
Connect the tweezers and the soldering iron.
3)
Connect the power cord to the device [9] socket. Plug
the power cord into the power source.
4)
If necessary, connect the wrist strap (not included) to
the [11] grounding socket on the back of the device.

3.3. DEVICE USE

Settings menu:
1)
Set the main [8] switch to the "ON" position.
2)
Set the soldering iron / tweezers switch to the
correct position depending on the soldering method:
soldering with tweezers – TWZ, soldering with iron –
SIA.
3)
Press and hold the [2] button for at least 5 seconds
until the display shows the flashing " – – -" message.
Use the [4] key to enter the password "010" (default)
and confirm it with the [2] key. Entering an incorrect
password will return you to normal operating mode
(temperature display).
4)
After entering the settings menu, the display will
show the "F-0" message. By using [3] and [4] keys it is
possible to switch the setting modes. If for 15 seconds
none of the buttons are pressed, the device will return
to its normal operation mode (temperature display).
The following figure shows the switching pattern
between the setting modes:
F-0: exits the settings menu
Press [2] when the display shows "F-0 '' to exit the
settings menu and return to the normal operating
mode (temperature display).
F-1: password settings
The password protects the temperature settings.
Press the [2] button when the display shows "F-1".
Use the [3] and [4] keys to select the parameter value.
The selected value, e.g. 100, will be the new password
to protect the station. Note: selecting the [000]
value means that the station will not be password
protected. Press the [2] button to exit the password
setting mode.

F-2: temperature correction
Press the [2] button when the display shows "F-2". Use
the [3] and [4] keys to select the parameter value. For
example, when the display shows 300°C but the real
temperature is 290°C, add 10°C. Negative Celsius scale
values are displayed with a minus. On the Fahrenheit
scale, negative values flash.
Press the [2] button to exit the temperature correction
setting mode.
F-3: temperature unit
Press the [2] button when the display shows "F-3".
Using the [3] and [4] buttons select between°C or°F.
Press the [2] button to exit the temperature unit
selection mode.
Soldering
IMPORTANT! Soldering at temperatures above
410°C (770°F) is not recommended. The device
can work only for a short period of time at high
temperatures. Be especially careful when soldering
at a high temperature.
WARNING! Never touch the metal parts of the
soldering iron / tweezers during use and until it
cools to avoid burns.
1)
Set the main [8] switch to the "ON" position.
2)
Set the soldering iron / tweezers switch to the
correct position depending on the soldering method:
soldering with tweezers – TWZ, soldering with iron –
SIA.
3)
Press and hold the [4] button until the display shows
250°C (or 482°F). When the temperature is stable, the
[14] LED is out indicating that the heating is active.
4)
Apply a solder layer to the tip (to protect it against
excessive wear).
5)
Set the soldering temperature using the [3] and [4]
buttons. For correct soldering, the temperature
should be selected according to the binding agent
used. If the temperature is too low soldering will be
very slow. If the temperature is too high, the flux in the
solder may ignite, which will cause white smoke and
may damage the device.
6)
When using tweezers, always raise and lower parts
perpendicularly to the plate / workpiece.
7)
Always place tweezers / iron on the stand when they
are not in use.
8)
In order for the device to work properly and the tip
to be heated optimally, ensure that the tip and the
fastening sleeve are cleaned each time after work.
Causes of damage to the tip
During the soldering process, the material surface is being
wetted which is one of the conditions for a durable solder.
There are factors that have a negative impact on the wetting
process and thus on the quality of the resulting weld:
1.
Temperature of the soldering tip > 410° C (770° F).
2.
No protective layer on the tip.
3.
No flux in solder.
4.
Wiping the tip with a contaminated sponge or cloth,
contamination with sulphur compounds.
5.
Contact with bioplastics.
6.
Pollutants in solder.
Operating recommendations for soldering tips
1.
Note: Before taking any action, turn off the device,
disconnect it from the power mains and let it cool
down.

It is recommended to clean the solder tip every day
during heavy work. Regularly disassemble and clean
the entire tip, otherwise it may be melted with the
heating element or the fixing unit.
3.
Before leaving the soldering tip inactive, it is
recommended to coat it with a protective layer of
solder.
4.
Before using the device, clean the tip with a cleaner.
5.
The use of high temperature when operating the
device shortens the tip's life.
6.
Rubbing or pressing the tip against the work surface
can reduce its life or damage it.
7.
During work, do not apply solder to the tip, as this
may damage the tip.
8.
Do not clean the tip with abrasive materials.
9.
Do not use fluxes containing corrosive substances.
10.
Removal of oxides from the soldering tip:
Gently remove the sludge from the soldering tip using
abrasive cloth (grit 600 – 800) or isopropyl alcohol.
Coat the surface with rosin core tinol.
Cover the surfaces to be soldered with rosin core tinol
and melt.

To properly clean the inside of the clamping sleeve,
loosen the fastening nut and remove the sleeve and
the tip. Any dirt inside the sleeve should be removed
with compressed air.
NOTE: Be careful that the dust is not blown into your
eyes.
12.
It is recommended to set the soldering temperature
only after the tip reaches the initial temperature
of 250°C, having waited about 3 minutes for the
temperature to stabilise.

3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

a)
Unplug the mains plug and allow the device to cool
completely before each cleaning, adjustment or
replacement of accessories, or if the device is not
being used.
b)
The outer casing of the tweezers, iron and soldering
station can be cleaned with a damp cloth using a small
amount of detergent.
c)
After cleaning the device, all parts should be dried
completely before using it again.
d)
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
e)
Do not spray the device with a water jet or submerge
it in water..
f)
Do not allow water to get inside the device through
vents in the housing of the device.
g)
Clean the vents with a brush and compressed air.
h)
The device must be regularly inspected to check its
technical efficiency and spot any damage.
i)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
Replacing the tip:
Before replacing the tip, turn the device off and let it cool
down.
a)
Unscrew the [15] fixing nut together with the [16]
sleeve.
b)
Replace the [17] tip.
c)
Put on and tighten the [15] fixing nut together with
the [16] sleeve.
IMPORTANT: Switching on the device without the tip
installed may cause damage.
