without exception.
2.4. Obligation to inspect spill sumps
The operator of containment devices is
obliged to carry out and document the
inspections required by Stawa R and the
General Technical Approval.
The use of the SpillGuard® is independent
of this.
2.5. Limited duration of use
SpillGuard® cannot be used once it has

detected a leak and must be replaced.
Due to its construction SpillGuard® must
W
be replaced after 5 years, to guarantee
successful leak detection.

3. Requirements for the
installation location
SpillGuard® is is mainly to be used in the
bottom of a spill sump.
The following prerequisites must be met:
The base of the spill sump must be free of

any type of contamination.
The base must be level.
W
There must be suffi cient space available
W
for SpillGuard®.
The installation location should be at the
W
lowest point of the spill sump so that a
leak is detected as early as possible.
