SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Installation location
1. Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
2. Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
3. Protect this product from extreme heat and cold as well as from direct sunlight and dust.
4. In order to reduce the risk of fire and electric shock, do not expose the product to fire (fireplace,
grill, candles, cigarettes and so on) or water (water drops, water splashes, vases, tubs, ponds and
so on).
5. Warning! Do not use this product near water or heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or
beside a swimming pool or bathtub.
6. This product is not suitable for commercial use. It is designed for household use only.
Specific safety instructions
1. Operate this product under supervision only. Even when leaving the room briefly, always pull the
plug and put the device in its stand base.
2. When operating the product, high temperatures develop on the housing and soleplate which could
lead to burns if you come into contact with them. Possible hazards could also occur from escaping
steam or hot water. Do not point the steam toward people.
3. Use the handle only for handling.
4. Do not iron or freshen up garments with steam while they are being worn.
5. The cord must not come into contact with hot parts of the device and must not be wrapped around
the product.
6. Do not put the product on hot surfaces (e.g. stove hot plates and so on) or near open gas flames.
7. Fill the water tank with water only.
