O This INFORMATION DISPLAY (Telex) will give you important
information. If you click on the display you will see all the text at once.
P 'HELP-LINE' displays which function you are currently pointing at.
Submarine room (A) and mobile base
room (B)
In these two rooms you can construct the two larger models, the
Submarine and the Mobile Base. You can see what functions these
models perform by clicking on them.
{ By pressing this button you will switch to building mode.
} Brings you back to the room.
q & w "Step-menu" shows all the building steps. If you click on the 'Build'
button { or in the information display O within 5 seconds you will go to
the step you see in the information display. Otherwise you will stay on the
current step.
e / r One frame back / one frame forward.
t Go to previous step.
y Go to next step.
u Play animation/pause.
PLEASE NOTE
If you need to measure the LEGO elements during construction (such as
the length of the black axle for example), it is very important that you use
the measurement diagram which is found at the back of this User Guide.
Please note that the step-numbering in the software does not correspond
directly to the steps in the paper building instructions.
The Mobile Base (B) has the possibility to be motorised. To do this you
need set number 8720 LEGO TECHNIC Motor Set.
Tips and tricks room (C)
In this room you can build a number of exciting smaller models.
By clicking on the models you can see their different functions. The model
that you choose will show up in the information display O . Then you can
choose to build the model by choosing 'Build' button { or see a secret tip
by choosing } . Each model contains at least one handy building tip which
you can use when you construct your own LEGO TECHNIC models. Some
of these smaller models have extra options, which will be presented after
you have finished building the main model.
PLEASE NOTE
You can build only one of the five models at a time, unless you have more
LEGO TECHNIC elements at home.
You can use the technical functions shown to construct your own models.
Briefing room (D)
This is the Underwater base's information centre, where you can get
background information about the LEGO TECHNIC models, submarines
and underwater life in general.

Showroom (E)
In this room you can check out all the other LEGO TECHNIC models.
You can operate the scanner-camera by remote control. The camera's
position is shown in the Information Display O .
H These four buttons move the camera.
J Scans the model which the camera is pointing at.
K Shows model function.
L Zoom.
: Shows the alternative model (only works on certain models).
PLEASE NOTE
There are many more models than you can see on the screen. If you type
in 4,10 and 3,1 the screen will move to other areas showing more models.
Some of the models shown may not be available in your country or only by
direct mail. Please check by looking in the catalogue which you should
find at most good Toy stockists. If you cannot find one, then write to us at
LEGO UK Ltd, Ruthin Road, Wrexham, LL13 7TQ and we will send one
through to you, or e-mail us on UK@LEGO.com.
