1 Operating instructions Ubbink BioPressure 3000/7000

We would like to thank you for purchasing this product, one of the high-quality Ubbink BioBalance pond fi lter series.
This operating instruction contains important information that is useful for installation, start-up and care of your BioPressure pressure fi lter. Please read the operating instruction
carefully before installing the fi lter.
The following components are contained in the scope of delivery of the BioPressure:
1 Pressure fi lter container 10 l (BioPressure 3000) / 18 l (BioPressure 7000)
1 Pressure fi lter cover with inlet and outlet connections, ball valve for dirt drainage
1 UV-C-Device 5 W (BioPressure 3000) / 9 W (BioPressure 7000), integrated
1 UV-C-Lamp PL-S 5 W (BioPressure 3000) / PL-S 9 W (BioPressure 7000)
1 Locking bracket, two parts with screws
1 Rubber sealing ring
1 Tube of conservation and sealing medium
1 Level fi lter mat set
1 Protective cover for the pressure fi lter, removable

WARNING: UV-C rays are dangerous for eyes and skin. The UV-C ray emitter must not be operated, if it has been taken out of the device!
CAREFUL: This device contains a UV-C ray emitter! Unintended usage of the device or damage to the housing can lead to emission of dangerous UV-C radiation. UV-C radiation can
damage eyes and skin also in small doses.
- The device must be separated from the mains before every intervention (Installation, maintenance, etc.)!
- The power supply must meet the product specifi cations. Do not connect the device, if the power supply does not meet the specifi ed regulations! Further information can be
obtained from your local, approved electrician.
- The power supply of the device must be secured via a fault current protection switch (FI or RCD) with a rated fault current of maximum 30 mA.
- Under no circumstances must the device be operated under water and must be installed beside the pond in such a way that fl ooding is excluded.
- The device must be installed more than 2 m away from the pond or water basin and the mains connection more than 3.5 m.
- It is not permitted to open the device or accompanying parts, if not explicitly pointed out in this operating instruction. This goes also for technical modifi cations to the device.
- The device is fi tted with an integrated protective switch, which interrupts the power supply automatically if the device is opened.
- The mains plug and all connection locations must always be kept dry. The connecting cable of the device must be routed protected to avoid possible damages.
- The device must only be operated if the installation of all components and hose connections is completed.
- Ensure that the device is switched off , if no water fl ows through the device.
- The device must only be operated at a water temperature from +5 °C to +35 °C.
- Devices with obvious damages must not be operated!
- It is not possible to replace the power cable. If the cable gets damaged, the UV-C device must be correctly disposed.
- Never look directly into the switched on UV-C ray emitter, but always check its function through the transparent hose connection with the device closed.
- The device is not suitable for usage by persons (Including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised by
a person responsible for their safety or if they have been instructed in the usage of the device. Children must be supervised to ensure that they are not playing with the device.
