5. Using the Bathtub

ADJUSTMENT OF ADDITIONAL AIR SUPPLY IN WATER MASSAGE
WATER JETS
It is possible to add some air in the massage jets as the hydromassage function is operating.
For that purpose, use the adjustment switch shown on the drawing. There may be more than
one switch. Each switch supplies a number of jets with air; test the switch to establish the jets it
supplies.
TURNING THE JETS ON AND OFF
Depending on the bath set, Balteco baths are fi tted with non-closing or closing jets. In baths
with closing jets (can be closed or opened by screwing), the jets are in closed position during
transportation. Closing and opening of jets takes place with the help of jet detail 1. At the time
when massage is on, it is forbidden to close more than half of the jets.
NB! When switching on the massage function, ALL JETS must be open.
CONTROLLING OF BACKMASSAGE
While operating the hydromassage function in a bath with back massage, turn the diverter handle
for re-direction of water to back or side jets.
If the bathtub has the Grand jet, it is possible to direct water into the following outlets while the
hydro-massage is working:
A) Grand jet
B) Back massage jets
C) Circle massage jets
By closing and opening the additional air controllers the air amount in respective jets can be
adjusted. After taking a bath it is always recommended to direct the switch to side-jets as when
starting the bath's backmassage function water may splatter around the bathroom or startle those
present in bathroom.
MECHANICAL TURBOMASSAGE
If the bath is equipped with mechanical turbomassage, it is possible to direct pressurized air
either to the hydromassage system or to the airmassage system.
NB! Make sure that after using the bath the diverter of the air blower is set to airmassage
(S7 and S8). It is necessary for the automatic dry-blowing of the airmassage jets.
WATER HEATER
A water heater, if available, is enabled to activate only together with the hydromassage system.
Turn on the hydromassage system and after that press the water heater switch (see the fi gure)
so that the singal lamp will light up. To turn the heater off, press the switch for the second time,
the signal lamp will go off. Switching off the hydromassage also turns off the water heater
automatically.
