ASSEMBLY OF THE AUXILIARY HANDLE
6. Hold the trimmer firmly on the ground.
7. Push the collar of auxiliary handle onto the upper metal
tube of the trimmer.
8. Rotate the auxiliary handle to an upright position.
9. Slide the auxiliary handle on the upper metal tube to the
optimal position.
10. Tighten the bolt and nut to fix the auxiliary handle in place.
ADJUSTING HANDLE HEIGHT
5. Rest the trimmer base on the ground.
6. Press the button (7) on the upper metal tube and hold it.
7. Slide the upper metal tube back and forth to adjust the
height to suit your own stature.
8. Release the button and pull the upper metal tube again until
it latches securely in place.
Note: ensure that metal tube is securely latched
ADJUSTING THE LENGTH OF THE CUTTING LINE
This product is equipped with an automatic mechanism that feeds out cutting line when the head of
spool is 'bumped' lightly on the ground.
Automatic Line Feed:
1. Before use, carefully remove the blade protector on the line
trimming blade.
2. Position the lawn trimmer above a firm surface.
3. Operate the On/Off trigger switch (4).
4. Lightly 'bump' the head of the spool on a firm surface.
As the cutting line is fed out, the cutting line trimming
blade will adjust the cutting line to the correct length.
Note: If the cutting line breaks inside the spool holder, it will
not feed when the 'bump' method is used. Please refer to
section "Manual Feed".
Manual Line Feed:
WARNING: Before making this adjustment, make sure
that the switch is in the "OFF" position and disconnect the
machine from the power supply.
1. Press and hold down the locking button, then pull both ends
to unreel the cord to the desired length
2. If the line breaks off inside the spool holder, it will not feed
when the 'bump' method is used. If this happens proceed as
follows:
a. Remove the spool cover and spool from the holder as
described in the section "Replacing the spool".
b. Recover the end of the cutting line and thread it through the
eyelets on the spool holder.
c. Replace the spool and spool cover into the holder as
described in the section "Replacing the spool"
