BATTERY CHARGER ______________________________________________________________NORMAL CHARGE
The battery charger will automatically switch to the BUFFER CHARGE phase
(see chapter 9.0) follow by an intermittent beep at the end of the charging
operation.
The display will visualise the message END OF CHARGE PRESS STOP
message along with an intermittent beep.
Press the key STOP before disconnecting the clips.

Automatic tests during the normal charge phase
The instrument will normally monitor the following values during the
NORMAL CHARGE.
SHORT CIRCUIT - Battery charging will be immediately interrupted if

there is a short circuit. The operator will be warned of this by an
intermittent beep, while the SHORT CIRCUIT PRESS STOP message
will appear on the display.
BATTERY NOT CHARGEABLE - If the battery is seriously damaged, the
2.
instrument will indicate BATTERY NOT CHARGEABLE accompanied by
an intermittent sound.
CLAMP DETACHMENT - Delivery will be immediately interrupted if the
3.
clamps detach from the battery. This will prevent accidental contacts or
sparks. The operator is warned by an intermittent sound and the
STOP CHARGING PRESS STOP message will appear on the display.
HIGH VOLTAGE CHECK - The voltage delivered by the battery charger is
4.
continuously monitored. This voltage must not exceed the maximum
preset limit of 15 V. If the voltage exceeds this value by even only one
volt, the operator will be warned by an intermittent sound and by the
HIGH VOLTAGE display message.
MAXIMUM CHARGING TIME - A normal battery charge may last up to
5.
24 hours, after which the instrument will indicate MAX CHARGE TIME
PRESS STOP together with a continuous beep. Following this, the
battery charger will automatically switch to the BUFFER CHARGE phase
(see chapter 9.0).
