GENERAL REGULATIONS ________________________________________________________ BATTERY CHARGER
When working on batteries remember that:
Charge the battery only in airy rooms.
ATTENTION:
• Car batteries contain sulphuric acid and generate explosive
gas. Therefore, always observe the following precautions:
Connect the red wire to the battery positive pole and the black wire to
the car chassis, far from the battery and from the fuel duct.
Always wear safety glasses.
Do not place tools on the battery. They could cause accidental
contacts.
Before testing or recharging a battery, cover the openings with a wet
cloth to suffocate any explosive gas.
Avoid making sparks when attaching the cables to the battery.
Do not splash the electrolyte on your skin, in your eyes or on your
clothes as it is extremely corrosive and highly toxic.
• As to battery maintenance follow the Manufacturer instructions.
• Make sure to have the correct liquid level in the battery.
• Never recharge non rechargeable batteries.

When working on high voltage equipment:

• Check to be certain the machine is grounded.
• Disconnect the power source before connecting or disconnecting wires.
• Do not touch parts with your hands wet.
• Make sure you are grounded.
