Operation Mode Description

Time Mode
How to set the time :-
Use the [MODE] button to get to the real time mode. (The word
TIME will appear)
Please note: With this watch, it is necessary to set the seconds before the hours and
minutes. You will need to know the actual time of day locally.
Enter the time-setting mode by pressing the [CLEAR] button and hold it down for
approximately 2 seconds until a beep is heard. Once in the time setting mode, the second
display begins to flash and the upper line shows the word "SEC".
Find the real time locally (maybe from the speaking clock or teletext), and when the real
time locally reaches zero seconds (after seconds 57, 58, & 59), press [PROG] to reset the
"Second" digits to zero. i.e. Do this when the real time of day reaches a full minute.
NOTES :
Each piece of data to be changed is accessed via the [MODE] button and altered
via the [PROG] button. The watch will automatically leave the setting mode if no key is
pressed for 1 minute.
After adjusting the "Second" digits, press [MODE] to proceed to the next item. This will
be the HOUR setting and is altered by pressing the [PROG] button. The setting sequence
is in the order of second, hour, minute, year (available from 2005-2099), month, date,
12Hour/24Hour, Month-Date or Date-Month, and Beep On/Off. (With the beep on, every
time you press a button it will beep, with the beep off, the watch will be silent except for
the countdown timer alarm – this is silenced a different way – see later). You can repeat
around the sequence again by pressing [MODE] more times. Press [PROG], to increase
each chosen setting in individual increments. Pressing and holding the button for 2
seconds will activate the fast setting.
Once all values are correct, confirm all settings by pressing [CLEAR]. This will also return
to the Time mode.
The watch will automatically leave the setting mode if no key is pressed for 1 minute.
