1 - SAFETY WARNINGS
CAUTION – to ensure personal safety it is important to follow these instructions and
keep them for future reference.
Read the instructions carefully before proceeding with installation. The design and manufac-
ture of the devices making up the product and the information in this manual are compliant
with current safety standards. However, incorrect installation or programming may cause
serious injury to those working on or using the system. Compliance with the instructions
provided here when installing the product is therefore extremely important.
2 - INTRODUCING THE PRODUCT
XR MANAGER is a hand-held programmer that can be used with the Key Automation XR
Rolling Code transmitter series.
This system speeds up the programming phase and simplifies memorisation of new transmit-
ters, while maintaining the security of the rolling code system.
The transmitters and receivers in the series XR (for example receivers RX4X, RXM23X with
firmware version 2.3 and later) are designed to exchange information via radio. In particular,
the ROLLING CODE TRANSMITTERS WITH INCORPORATED RECEIVER (code numbers
ending in "F" and amber led, e.g. SUB44F) contain a proximity receiver that enables the
memorisation of an AUTHORISATION CODE sent by a transmitter previously memorised
on the system.
The authorisation code acquired then enables the transmitter to be memorised by the re-
ceiver on the automation, automatically and without the need to access the receiver itself.
Also, this series of transmitters, receivers and the hand-held device XR MANAGER, users
can manage a large number of transmitters on a single system, for example replacing or
adding transmitters without the need to be on site.
Caution: Any other use than as specified herein or in environmental conditions other
than as stated in this manual is to be considered improper and is strictly prohibited.
