Next steps
Once you have installed the two fan trays and at least one power supply, you can install and
connect power to the switch.
AC power connections
To connect your switch to AC power you require an AC power cord that meets the requirements
of your local electrical code.
International power cord specifications
Refer to the following table for power cord plug specifications.

Before working on this equipment, be aware of proper safety practices and hazards involved
with electrical circuits. Use only power cords that have a grounding path. Ensure the switch is
properly grounded before connecting a power source.
Note:
VSP 7000 series switches do not have a power switch. When you connect the AC power
cord to a suitable AC power outlet, the switch powers up immediately. Ensure that you
connect the AC power cord to the back of the switch, and then connect the cord to a power
outlet. You must use the correct power cord for the switch and power supply.
