2. You should inspect the air filter in the Air Compressor Assembly to see if it is excessively dirty. If it is dirty,
follow the steps below to replace it.
Unplug the spray gun. Remove the filter cover with a tool (such as a flat screw driver).
Remove the dirty filters and replace with new ones.
Secure the cover back onto the turbine. (Fig.8)
3. Remove the plug from the mains socket.
4. Remove paint container (5), pick up pipe and filter.
5. Take off the pump assembly.
6. Release the nozzle (H), valve (I), piston (M) and spring (L).
7. Clean the cylinder (K) and all parts thoroughly with solvent.
8. Apply a few drops of light lubrica
to the piston, spring and cylinder.
9. Reassemble the spray gun.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Fault Symptom
Possible Cause
Motor noise not normal
Spray gun not clean, or not
lubricated, resulting in piston being
stuck in cylinder
Motor hums but does not spray
Worn swirl head
or irregular spraying
Pick up pipe not in the right
position
Blocked pick up pipe
Blocked nozzle
Blocked filter
Control knob needs adjustment
Atomization is not good
Viscosity of material too high.
Material volume too large.
Material volume setting too
high (+).
Nozzle clogged.
Air filter clogged.
Too little pressure build-up in
container.
Over painting
Spray gun not clean, or not
lubricated resulting in piston being
stuck in cylinder
Too much paint
Viscosity too low
Operating sound not right
Poor output adjustment
Not enough paint in the container
resulting in air being sucked in
Not diluting properly or not
passing pick up pipe completely
"Orange Skin" excessive fogging
Incorrect solvent is used
Spray gun too far from the surface Hold spray gun closer to the object
Paint too thick
Little or no material flow
Nozzle clogged.
Suction tube clogged.
Material volume setting
turned too low(-).
Suction tube loose.
No pressure build up in container.
Air filter clogged.
Material leaking
Nozzle loose.
Nozzle worn.
Nozzle seal worn.
Material build-up on air
cap and nozzle.
Troubleshooting
