TDS3ION Battery Charger Instructions
When the battery pack is in the oscilloscope, the gauge icon
indicates the amount of charge.
NOTE. The TDS3ION external charger may increase the available charge and
reset the gauge to a higher level. Subsequent charges using the oscilloscope
may indicate less than a full charge.
If the TDS3ION does not charge the battery pack, try these steps before returning
the battery pack or the charger for service:
Use a DMM to measure the voltage at the cable connector to ensure that it
is between 17.5 and 20 VDC. When you first connect the power cord to the
TDS3ION, the yellow indicator light will blink once. If you unplug the power
cord from the TDS3ION, you must wait about one minute before plugging it
in again or the light will not blink.
Store the battery pack at room temperature for several hours and then try to
charge it again.
If the TDS3ION appears to be working, but the battery does not charge on the
second try, do not continue to attempt recharging the battery pack. Consider
the battery pack to be damaged and replace it.
