- The screen is showing the message HI: the temperature taken is higher than the range of the mode
selected, either higher than 42.9°C (109.2°F) in BODY mode or 60°C (140°F) in SURFACE TEMP mode.
- The screen is showing the message LO: the temperature taken is lower than the range of the mode
selected, either lower than 32°C (89.6°F) in BODY mode or 0°C (32°F) in SURFACE TEMP mode.

Causes of a Lo Message
Reading hampered by hair, sweat...
Reading hampered by an air flow...
The reading was taken too close, the ThermoFlash®
didn't have enough time to reset.
Measuring distance is too far.

Solutions
Make sure there is no obstruction.
Make sure you are not in a draught; this may interfere
with the infrared system.
Respect a delay of 15 seconds between each reading
- 1 minute is advised.
Respect a measuring distance between 5 to 8 cm (2 to
3.14 in), away from the forehead.
