3. OPERATION AND USE

3.1. General
Automatic switch-on
The outdoor motion detector automatically switches on the lighting, depending on the
registered motion and the measures daylight value.
Manual switch-on
The lighting can be switched on manually by means of a push button N.G. 230V~
(fig.8.1).
Press the button >4s to switch on the lighting, regardless of the measured daylight value.
Automatic switch-off
If the switch-off delay is expired, the lighting switches off.
3.2. Settings
You can set the values for light sensitivity, switch-off delay and detection range by means
of the potentiometers under the sensor cover (fig.9).
Fabric settings:
Light sensitivity: ..................±70lux
Switch-off delay: .................±7min
Detection range: .................14m (max.)
Light sensitivity:
Adjustable from 3lux
Switch-off delay:
Adjustable from 8s to 30min.
Sensitivity degree detection range:
Adjustable from – (0m) to + (14m)
Direction sensor:
The sensor can be rotated to the left and right over an angle of 25° (horizontal) (fig.10).
Sensor mask:
If you do not want motion detection in a specific area, you can place the supplied mask
in front of the lens.
Adapt the mask as shown in fig.11. Place the mask in front of the lens as shown in
fig.12.
4. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem:
The motion detector
does not switch on.
No/little detection duri-
ng the walk test.

Possible cause:
The motion detector is connected
incorrectly.
1 The motion detector is located
incorrectly.
2 The lens is covered, dirty or
defective.
Solution:
Check whether the motion
detector is connected as in fig.8
or 8.1.
Place the motion detector as
described in '2.1. Location'.
Remove the cover / clean the lens
as described in '5. Product main-
tenance'. If the lens is defective,
the sensor has to be replaced.
