REMOTE CONTROL
Some appliance functions can be controlled remotely using free contacts.
The contacts should be connected to the terminal board of the internal unit's electronic board ( g. 23) as described below:
terminal 1:
terminal 2:
terminal 3:
terminal 4:
terminal 5:
terminal 6:
CIRCULATION PUMP CHECKS
During installation the circulation pump can be forced to run for 15 minutes by setting parameter FPA 1; in this way air in the
nal phase of lling the system with water is purged.
The circulation pump can run in different modes depending on the requirements of the system to which the unit is connected:
Continuous pump operation (factory setting of parameter cPP 0)
The pump switches off when the water set-point is reached; the pump activates periodically to verify the water temperature
in the circuit. The sampling cycle is de ned by the value set in parameter cPP (e.g. cPP 10 the pump activates for one
minute in every ten with the set-point reached).
The pump anti-locking function is active while the system is in OFF; setting parameter PPS 1 enables this function,
parameter Pqd sets every how many hours the start-up is set for and parameter Pqt sets how long the pump is to run
during the anti-locking cycle.
AUXILIARY EXTERNAL HEAT SOURCE MANAGEMENT
In heating or domestic water production mode, the control replaces the heat pump unit, via parameter bc 1, if the outside
air temperature is below a preset value (parameter otE).
DOMESTIC WATER PRODUCTION
The appliance can be connected to a tank with an intermediate exchanger to produce domestic water. The 3W internal units
with the 3-way valve can divert the hot water ow to a domestic water storage tank.
The domestic water request can occur in two ways:
via a free contact (5/L) by setting parameter dhU 1; in this case, set the external thermostat (free contact) to a temperature
below 60°C.
via a temperature sensor installed in the domestic water tank by setting parameter dhU 2; in this case the set-point is
set with parameter HS3.
Via parameter hyS it is also possible to check the hysteresis cycle of the tank temperature check.
HS3 50°C and hyS 10° are factory set, so the temperature in the tank will vary between 40 and 50°C.
If a domestic water production request activates, the control modi es its status as follows:
if the unit is running in heating mode, the 3-way valve is switched and the hot water ow is diverted towards the DHW
tank in 15 . When the required temperature is reached, the 3-way valve diverts the water ow in 15 towards the heating
system and the system will continue to run in the same way as before the domestic water request.
if the unit is running in cooling mode, the compressor stops, the 3-way valve is switched and the hot water ow is diverted
towards the DHW tank. When the required temperature is reached, the compressor stops, the refrigerant cycle inversion
valve and the 3-way valve are switched and the compressor starts three minutes after the previous stoppage.
During domestic water production the system dispenses the maximum power possible to rapidly meet the domestic water
request.
ANTI-LEGIONELLA CYCLE
Through the activation of the anti-legionella function, the adjuster is able to conduct the thermal disinfection procedures
autonomously on domestic hot water systems, considerably reducing the risk of the presence and proliferation of the bacteria
responsible for legionella.
The disinfection function is activated in parameter Ldi. The user can opt to heat the domestic water with the heat pump and
the two-stage electrical heater elements on board the internal unit, by setting parameter LdA 0, or via an element in the
domestic water tank, in parameter LdA 1. In the second case, with LdA 1, the electrical heater element must be powered
separately and activated via a relay connected to terminals N/13 (k4 activation).
The time interval for running the cycle in days, for how long and at what temperature to run the disinfection cycles are set
respectively in parameters LdS, Ldd and Ldt.

on/off: with the free contact open the system is in stand-by, with the contact closed the system is on
toggle heating/cooling operating mode: with the free contact open the system is in heating mode, with the
contact closed the system is in cooling mode
as per ECO mode set-point: with the free contact open the set-point selected is cS1 in cooling mode or HS1
in heating mode; with the contact closed the set-point selected is cS2 in cooling mode or HS2 in heating mode
night-time mode selection activation: with the free contact open the function is disabled, with the contact closed
the function is active
(already connected to the terminal board of the internal unit 5/L): domestic water heating activation: with the
free contact open domestic water mode is disabled; with the contact closed domestic water mode is enabled
cooling or heating mode activation/inhibition. when the contact is open, the domestic water function remains
active. It may also be connected to a chrono-thermostat or in parallel to the chiller/boiler contacts of the electronic
controls of fan coils Bi2 and Bi2+.
The contacts must be closed on terminal L
The remote contacts of terminals 1 and 2 are enabled using parameter r T 2
