5 Maintenance

5.1 Periodic maintenance

The heat exchangers, condensation tray and
condensation drain should be cleaned once every 4
years. Proceed as follows:
1. Remove the plastic front (A)
2. Remove the sheet steel front (B)
3. Allow some room for the power cable and
communications cable, and remove the cover (C)
under the evaporator
4. Pull the cooling skid (D) no more than 25 cm forwards.
5. Clean the evaporator, condenser and the condenser
tray with a mild cleaning agent. Take care not to
damage the evaporator and condenser fins. If the fins
are bent, they can be repaired with a fin-comb. Rinse
the cleaned components with water.

5.2 Malfunctions

The following parameters are defined in the heat-recovery units menu in order to assess the ComfoCool Q600s
performance:
> MENU > STATUS > COMFOCOOL > CONDENSER TEMP: Current temperature of condenser. Criterion: 0˚C to 58˚C.
> MENU > STATUS > COMFOCOOL > STATE: Current temperature of supply air and ComfoCool Q600 mode. Criterion 8˚C
Otherwise consult the table below:

Check the systems settings.
� Is the ComfoCool Q600 registered with the heat-recovery unit? Check this in the heat-recovery
units menu. If registration has been completed successfully, then the menu COMFOCOOL is
visible in the STATUS menu. Check the ComfoNet cable. Replace the PCB of the ComfoCool
Q600. Replace the PCB of the heat-recovery unit.
� Can the ComfoCool Q600 be activated? In the TASK MENU you will see an option COMFOCOOL
that can be set to either OFF or AUTO. Ensure that this menu is set to "AUTO".
� Are the supply and exhaust fans activated?
� Is the heat-recovery unit ventilation set to Absent? Then the ComfoCool Q600 will not be
activated.
� Is it autumn or winter? The ComfoCool Q600 only activates if the heat-recovery unit is in the
summer mode.
� Is the temperature profile set low enough?
� Is the temperature outside below 12˚C?
� Does the display show a status or malfunction alert?
� Is the heat-recovery units bypass open?
� Has the compressor just been deactivated? For safety reasons, the unit waits five minutes before
reactivating the compressor.
� The unit is fitted with a control system based on the return temperature of the heat-recovery unit.
