INTRODUCTION
The paging receivers are intended for use in a Atus DP6000 Digital Paging system. Each receiver is assigned an
address and can alert its holder with the following during a call:
LED indication (Fig 1(3)).
Indicates an incoming call.The LED flashes during the bleep and for 8 seconds after the bleep.
Audible bleep.
The receiver can be called with 1 of 14 different bleep patterns (7 normal and 7 cricketed tones; see
figure 4)
The bleep can be RESET using the RESET/RECALL button (figure 1(10)).If set for 'Bleep until
RESET' and a RESET is not given within 60 seconds, the bleep will start again after 30 seconds of
silence.This procedure will continue until RESET or for a maximum time of 255 seconds.
Vibration (Fig 1(4))
Receivers with vibrator are able to vibrate in unison with the called bleep pattern (figure 4).To RESET;
see audible bleep.
Each paging call can include:
Numeric messages
Alphanumeric messages

Telemetry messages
display. See 'Telemetry Messages'.
Spoken messages
For versions with an alphanumeric display, an icon display bar (figure 3) shows highlighted icons to alert
the user of events.
Addresses
Each pager has 8 addresses: 1 normal, 5 group, 1 ALL-call and 1 telemetry/normal address. Calls can be to
individuals, or to individuals included in a group (group call e.g Fire Team) or to ALL receiver holders in the
system (ALL-call CCCC). A telemetry address can be used to page 'up-to-date' telemetry information (e.g process
data).
Addresses can be 4 or 7 digits. The number of address digits displayed depends on the installer setting of the
receiver.Thiscan be up to 4 digits maximum in the numeric display and up to 7-digits maximum in the
alphanumeric display. For alphanumeric versions, the user holders name can also be displayed.
BATTERIES
Recommended types are 2 x LR1: chargeable NiCd or nonechargeable Alkaline. To change batteries see fig.
2(15).A 3-position switch located behind the batteries is used to select the type of batteries used in your receiver.
Contact your system installer.
Low battery warning.
In low battery state the receiver performs the following:
Emits a low battery bleep (if enabled) every 4 minutes (approx.)
Display 'low battery' icon (fig.3(A))
Numeric display blinks
If no action is taken to change or charge the batteries after approx. 60 minutes the receiver
switches OFF after first emitting a long warning bleep.
